9th ICAAP Field Trip Programmes
August 10-12, 2009
The 9th ICAAP has planned a number of field trips to local organisations with HIV & AIDS prevention and treatment programs, which may be of interest to the delegates.
CONGRESS FIELD TRIPS
The field trips will take place around lunch time (12.30 – 14.00) on 10, 11 and 12 August 2009 at places relatively close to the congress venue (BICC), which are Denpasar and Kuta (30-45 minutes drive).
The field trips are free of charge, but the number of delegates are limited to 20 persons only, on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration for the field trips can be done on site during the congress. Transportation will be provided by the 9th ICAAP Local Organising Committee. Lunch will not be provided.
All field trips will commence from a designated pick-up point at BICC complex. There are 8 sites for the field trips, i.e.
Gaya Dewata Foundation (Yayasan Gaya Dewata) which provides voluntary and counseling testing services to support the gay and transgender communities.
Kerobokan Prison (Lapas Kerobokan) which provides voluntary counseling and testing services and methadone treatment to inmates.
Kerti Praja Foundation a non-profit organization which provides voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) services & support to female sex workers.
KISARA which provides reproductive health services for youth.
Kuta Community Health Center (Puskesmas Kuta) which provides methadone treatment, voluntary counseling and testing, and needle & syringe exchange program.
PTRM Sandat, part of the Sanglah General Hospital that provides voluntary counseling and testing services, methadone treatment, and needle and syringe exchange programs for people who inject drugs.
Sanglah VCT Clinic at Sanglah General Hospital in Denpasar that provides voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) and care, support and treatment services.
Sanur Public Health Center (Puskesmas Sanur) which provides providing health services for female sex workers and people who use drugs (IDUs)

POST CONGRESS FIELD TRIP
The 9th ICAAP is also offering delegates the opportunity to visit the district of Buleleng (North Bali) or Gianyar (Central Bali) after the Congress from 14-15 August 2009 to see directly the HIV program activities as well as cultural performances and local attractions.
Delegates will pay a fee which includes one-night accommodation in Lovina (Buleleng Package Tour) or Ubud (Gianyar Package Tour), transportation, meals, and a USD $10 donation to the community visited. Interested delegates should fill out the registration form for reservation. Complete information about the tour programme and tour package fee can be downloaded together with the post congress field trip registration form. Confirmed delegates will be picked up at their hotel. There will be guide to accompany each group visiting these communities.
