Meals and Snacks
Congress delegates can purchase light meals, snacks and beverages at catering areas available in BICC. Other food and beverage outlets are also available in the Nusa Dua vicinity.
Limited space will be provided for informal business meetings and consultations for small groups and individuals as a service to delegates.
The PLHIV Lounge will be a place for rest and support where PLHIV can find relief from the busy and often tiring congress experience. It can also provide opportunities to meet and talk with other PLHIV from across the region in a relaxed and nurturing environment. The lounge will provide complimentary snacks, spaces for informal meetings and private facilities for taking medication. The lounge will be accessible for PLHIV only.
Affordable food courts are available in Nusa Dua area, within walking distance from congress venue. Information about where they are and how to get there will be available soon.
The Media Centre will serve the needs of print, radio, and broadcast journalists covering the 9th ICAAP. Services provided to registered journalists include computer work stations, Internet connections, telephone and fax lines, printers, and photocopying machines. Certain rooms will be available for interviews and for official daily briefings and third-party press conferences.
Access to the Media Centre is reserved for 9th ICAAP-accredited journalists and others granted a media pass by the ICAAP Committee.
Safety and Security
There will be permanent 24-hour security staffing at the BICC during the congress.
Service for people with disabilities
The BICC has toilet facilities and elevators equipped with special buttons which are user-friendly for people with disabiities. Delegates with disabilities will be prioritised to stay at the lowest floor nearest to the hotel lobby in each official 9th ICAAP hotel.
The official language of this congress is English and used for all printed materials, presentations and discussions.
Simultaneous translation facilites will be available for plenary sessions. For other type of sessions during the congress, simultaneous translation facilities will be provided upon request only by payment of a fee.
Smoking will only be permitted at designated areas.
The Speakers Centre serves the needs of all speakers, oral abstract presenters, chairpersons and moderators, will be open during the entire duration of the congress from 08.00 to 17.00.
Information on post-congress trips and ticket reconfirmation will be available at the Hospitality Desk, located at the BICC and some official hotels for those planning to travel around Bali or to other destinations in Indonesia. The Hospitality Desk will be open during the congress from 08.00 to 17.00.
A desk will be conveniently situated by the hospitality desk at the BICC to handle inquiries related to hotels and other accommodation options.
Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and a monye changers will be available within the vicinity of the BICC.
Business services such as faxing, photo-copying, and courier services are available in the hotel business center. All expenses for these facilities will be borne by personal account.
Child Care Centre
The congress organizer will provide limited child care. Refer to our website at a later time for further information.
A message desk will be conveniently located in the congress venue. There will also be message boards at convenient locations for delegates to contact each other.
First Aid and Medical Centre
Fully equipped and staffed first aid office will be located at the centre. Onsite staff will also assist with referrals for HIV-related treatment, methadone treatment and other medical support services.
There will be a location equipped with computers with Internet access.
Information desks to deal with all general inquiries related to the 9th ICAAP will be located at the registration area at BICC during the Congress from 08.00 to 17.00. Information desks will also be also available in each official hotel.
Interfaith Prayer room
An inter-faith prayer room will be provided for the spiritual needs of ICAAP delegates.
